Linea is a Layer 2 solution that aims to build dApps and simplify developer operations via MetaMask integration. For those who do not know about the story behind, ConsenSyS is the team that created the popular fox of the crypto ecosystem, Metamask. So, this chain plays an important role in Ethereum's scalability and Metamask's future product integrations.

In crypto, the team is as important as the product. If we consider the popularity of Metamask and possible integrations of Linea as a multi-chain bridge, this might open a new era in the ecosystem. The current hype around Linea is worth it!


Currently, there is a special event, named Linea Voyage, and the airdrop expectation of the crypto community is very high. Simply, there are some tasks for which you can collect XP points and get a chance to receive some airdrop Linea tokens if the dream comes true. 

### Linea Voyage Tasks

The tasks are not too complex for Week 0 and Week 1.

Basically, the initial aim of the team is to reach more people and grow their audience on Discord and Twitter. Thus, you are expected to follow on Twitter and connect your Discord to both Linea's and the platform's, which you use to gather points, channels. 

Do not forget, the numbers matter a lot in crypto 😉

Let's start from the very beginning and explore step by step.

First, you need to log in [Intract](https://www.intract.io/) and click on Linea Quests on the main page.

There are 2 main types in each task: 

1 - Information
2 - Core Tasks

The core tasks are designed to reward the community members who take actions and help the project be as decentralized as possible as they aim for.

The information, on the other hand, is designed to raise awareness on what Linea is and what the team tries to achieve.

This is what you need to do in "Wave 0: DeFi Voyage Launch"

### Last 16 hours of Wave 2
You need to hurry up and allocate some money for Linea ecosystem.

As we mentioned before, Linea's team is the developers of Metamask. Thus, they focus on Metamask and its aggregator function to bridge Ethereum from Ethereum mainnet or a Layer 2 to Linea Rollup.

Better to hurry up if you do not want to lose points from the very first part!

There are 2 tasks to be done. (One is optional, though)

The core task is to use MetaMask's aggregator to send at least $20 worth of Ethereum from one chain / Layer 2 to Linea.

It took around 40 minutes for me to receive the bridged Ethereum from Arbitrum chain. My transaction was conducted by using Hop protocols multi-chain operator.

After I received Ethereum balance, I applied to verify the task on Intract. Here, you start a process of verification that may take around an hour. As you see, my application was in process in this screenshot.

Also, there is a bonus task attached. Here you can get 50 more points, up to you, and try to rank up in the leaderboard or a possible airdrop distribution. I'm waiting for the core task to be completed successfully. Once it is achieved, I'll trade $5 of ETH so that I get the bonus, as well.

I may also consider providing liquidity on this chain because the TVL and number of transactions might be criteria for airdrop eligibility. We should not sleep on that 🔥

The next wave is going to start tomorrow. The task might be liquidity, swaps or onboarding people. For now, do the task of Wave 2 and join the hype.
