# Use the time. Be productive

_short, actionable tip_

I’m sure you all know about the common tips.

Eat well, move well, stay hydrated throughout the day. Don’t put too much stress on yourself. Reduce blue light and technology use couple hours prior to going to bed. Don’t drink too close to going to bed. Darken your room for more melatonin production. Certain breathing techniques. Meditate.

Alright. Kind of the standard tips. Helpful for sure but what if you can’t sleep no matter what? Just one of those days where you don’t get tired.

Don’t lay in bed for hours on end trying to fall asleep. It does nothing and wastes valuable time.

Instead, do what you would need to get done the next morning. Or the next day.

Be productive. Use the time.

You know there are certain things you have to do the next day so you can already accomplish some of them.
Want to go to the gym in the morning? Pack your bag. Pack your stuff for work. Answer some more e-mails so you can relax in the morning. Prepare some food. Read some more.

Want to publish a post on Steemit the next day? Write it.

Sometimes your ideas are better late at night.

You will notice how you will get tired. Instead of procrastinating you moved some weight off your shoulders and can go to back relaxed.

The next morning is yours to conquer.

Short and practical advice.

Produce some results instead of randomly zapping through TV channels.
