It’s been a while since I last posted about my fitness situation. The last couple of months have been very busy with either traveling or some very important business cases that haven’t let me follow my plan. I’ve been going to the gym sporadically, but at least my nutrition was good and I walk a lot. Since beginning of July my schedule has lighten up and it will be this way for the summer, so I think it is time for an update and some accountability. ## SCHEDULE I go and will continue to go to the gym 4 times per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday first thing in the morning. When I say first thing in the morning, I mean it. Wake up at 6:30 am have a light meal and at around 7:00 am I am at the gym and at around 8 o’clock I am back home to have another small meal and start work day. I chose to go this early, because I have found out that this is the time I have the most discipline. My internal dialogue for not going is at its lowest point, so it is the easiest for me to go. Even though I know that in the evening I will have better workouts, I have seen that it is more possible to find an excuse to skip work. My only goal is to show up and get again in the habit of going to the gym. Until then , just crossing the door is good enough. ## NUTRITION This year I have vastly improved my nutrition and it is an ongoing process. Little by little and every day. Ok, almost every day … I have reduced quantities and I have been doing better choices. For many years I have been eating like I was eating when I was 25 . I am 40 and I have to adjust. And I have. And I enjoy it. This is what I eat before I go to the gym. Coffee and yogurt and a small protein shake. This makes get through my workout. After workout I have a whole hard-boiled egg and a ham and cheese sandwich. A good meal for lunch and a couple of eggs and a fruit for dinner. Last, I share with you the method I used for cutting completely chocolate. During the last three months I ate a chocolate bat in Amsterdam and an ice cream at my birthday. That was it. To give you a perspective I’ve been eat chocolate every day for as long as I remember myself. The technique I used was taught to me by the creator of NLP himself Dr. Richard Bandler when I went to London. It goes like this and I quote “Don’t put it in your fucking mouth”. Yes, this is the strategy I used and it works like charm. I don’t even have cravings anymore. # CARDIO AND GOALS I love walking and I do it every day. It is also part of my job to visit many places in Athens and whenever I can do it by foot I do it. Recently I discovered a Steemit project called @actifit . It is a step counting app that rewards you for doing physical activity. I totally love it. I do what I normally do, but now I get Steem for that. Isn’t it great? I think it is a way more useful initiative than any hunters or monsters out there. Download the app ( Android only ) and start the count. And let me set a goal to make it more interesting. I read my initial and the goal I had was to weight 76 kilos by the end of May. It seems that I reached that goal. Now new goal it that I weight 74 kilos by the end of August. It may not seem that much, but the less you weight the more difficult it gets. Plus, I don’t want to reduce my muscle mass. That was my update. Hope you got some useful ideas to implement on your own fitness plan. **Be Healthy, Smile and STEEM ON !!!**
