In my country, this animal is known as the Maned Chameleon or Tree Chameleon, which in my local language is often called Lonok.

It is a very agile chameleon species that adapts to the color of its habitat.

This chameleon is rarely kept as a pet due to its aggressive nature.

My high school biology teacher told me that Maned Chameleons have the ability to change color using nanocrystals. This substance is found under the chameleon's outer skin, which reflect light.

When I was a child, I often fell from trees when a Maned Chameleon suddenly appeared in front of my head while climbing. It was almost invisible due to its ability to camouflage itself with the color of the leaves.
