A big welcome!

It was ages ago when I signed-up, and remembering how difficult it was to navigate this platform after guiding one of our new Steemians today, I thought I might write something about it to help our future Steemians. Not only did I pulled my hair a lot of times, it can't be helped that I didn't take time to learn things beforehand and I just dived in, no sweat! I learned things along the way though and i am still. Did we ever introduce ourselves before in facebook?

Anyway, now that you have become a Steemian, let's reign our horses for a moment, shall we? The password that you have right now, have a lot of usage in this platform. It's not a joke on signing-in, you read these 3 rules:

Master PASSWORD

It is the one you have right now. You lose it and say goodbye to your account, that and every precious STEEM you might have had.

Logging-in next will require your PRIVATE POSTING KEY. Arreté!!! Don't panic, it is here I promise. There are steps that I need to show you to get it.

In your account, under your username, you will see this. If you can familiarise yourself with those.

Accessing the PRIVATE POSTING KEY

1. Go to your wallet and next you will see PERMISSIONS

2. Click Permissions and you will see your PUBLIC KEYS, which they can be seen by anyone. Remember to always HIDE your key after accessing it.

This is just your Posting Key, below it are your Active, Owner and Memo Keys.

3. Click the SHOW PRIVATE KEY Box. Now, this is your PRIVATE POSTING KEY which you will be using to log-in. COPY & PASTE, then save it.

Right now it can be seen by anyone who wants to check your account. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS HIDE IT AFTERWARDS. The importance of the private posting key can be similar to the Mater Password. If it is not, then I personally don't want to find out what is needed to do to have it or have another.

I hope that is clear. You maybe ready now to write your introductory post. As we Steemians say, " Welcome aboard, steem on!"

Please feel free to comment on what can improve this post. Also, do re-steem and share to other social media if you find it helpful to future Steemians...as well as to promote our platform maybe. Cbeers!

All images are mine, taken with my Samsung Galaxy S7.

https://youtu.be/iAK8go1nocs
