They don't know if they love or hate each other. Their desire to be the one who gets all the treats seems to win over their desire for peace. I'm not sure if they have a desire for peace.

She has no right fang. So her tongue sticks out of her mouth on the right side. He has knee-jerk hackles. So his hackles are up even though she's ignoring him and also half his size. It's like he's never grown up. I love this dog, I'm sure all his personality rudenesses are our fault. I don't know what we can do to change them, though. He's relatively unpredictable. Most folks see him as the sweetest, cutest fella. And he can be. He gets very excited for some people. But occasionally, through no fault of theirs, he's apprehensive. I mean, it's the fault of theirs that they can't read him well. 

You know what? He's got the temperment of a tempermental cat. I mean, within the behaviors of a dog. We all know the cat that seems to want its belly scratched and then suddenly doesn't. I can read him, so I know that's not actually the case, but it probably seems like that to others.

Ugh. I feel like a bad pup daddy. 
But 99% of the time, he's wonderful.
