Have you been yearning to invest this past month that the market has been depressed, but have needed your cash for life expenses instead? I put so much money into the market the last few months of 2017 and Jan '18 that by the time it started plummeting, I had nothing else I could spare. It's been torture watching the market go down then wobble sideways ever since, and not be able to take advantage of the opportunity. If you've experienced something similar, you may be as happy as me with the following finds: ## Get Crypto for Writing/Editing/Curating Well of course you know that Steemit leads this list! In case you're reading this and are not already on Steemit, let me give you the core of it. Steemit is my top choice for earning crypto without having to invest or mine. I do think you should plan on investing at least $100 to get off to a stronger start on the platform, but you aren't required to. It just speeds up your earning momentum if you do. There is actually a lot to get right to have a more lucrative experience on the platform, which is why you'll hear some people singing it's praises and others saying it's a scam. If someone tells you that you can join the site, invest nothing at all, write nothing of quality at all, and just upvote other people's posts to earn money (or leave meaningless comments like "great post!") ... then yeah, that would be a scammy promise. But can you invest just $100, write quality posts, and then learn how to make the most of the platform to within your first month earn a few hundred dollars and be on track for over a thousand per month within the year? Absolutely. I know you can because I joined just a month ago and am on track toward that now. I created a course on how I've done it that is just $25, so take a look: [Paid Steemit Blogging](http://awaken.thinkific.com/courses/paid-spiritual-blogging-1). You'll note that it is focused on spiritual writing. That's because I'm also organizing a circle of support among such writers. Meaning I'm organizing our following and upvoting each other to increase everyone's success, so we need to all be in one topic niche where we actually all care about the topic we're all supporting each other around. You can still learn from the course even if you aren't a spiritual writer, and still be able to use the info for much quicker success on the platform. You just wouldn't want to be in that support circle. [Lunyr](https://www.lunyr.com/) is a site I'm not on myself, but if you are a more academic writer and peer review is something that matters to you, then that's the site to be on. [Everipedia](https://everipedia.org/) is gained by airdrop to those who hold EOS at the time of the EOS mainnet launch this June. Think of Wikipedia where editors have a stake in accuracy without bias because crypto is at stake for them. ## Universal Basic Income (UBI) And here are a few more for getting paid in crypto for absolutely no reason other than signing up for a UBI program (universal basic income): Mannabase is the simplest way to get free crypto. Just sign up at [Mannabase UBI sign-up](https://www.mannabase.com/?ref=8cceb027742774) and you'll start getting weekly airdrops. Do it by tomorrow and you'll get the one for this week. Just make sure you take the second step of verifying you're a real human by entering your physical address. You can access the dashboard just by signing up with your email address, but if you don't enter a physical one to verify your account, you'll miss the airdrops until you do. @steembasicincome allows you to earn free STEEM in the form of upvotes on all your posts. They have different competitions for getting added to the list. The [current one](https://steemit.com/steembasicincome/@tmholdings/5wusex-steemit-newbies-steembasicincome-sponsorship-program) is to talk about why you're on Steemit and what challenges you've faced on the platform. ## What Else? Do you know of any additional ways people can gain crypto without having to buy it or mine it? Or have you don't any of these (apart from Steemit, since well here we all are) and found have results to report? If so share in the comments.
