I'll tell you my way of handling it until a better solution comes along.  Say you have a URL you want to give someone:

https://steemit.com/trending/hive-100498

But just looking at the URL doesn't tell you anything.  What I do is add the name of the community at the end, in the hash / anchor name of the URL:

https://steemit.com/trending/hive-100498#science

This is neat because if you ever type `science` into your browser URL later on, it'll find your community.
