"Rear projection (also known as process photography) is part of many in-camera effects cinematic techniques in film production for combining foreground performances with pre-filmed backgrounds. It was widely used for many years in driving scenes, or to show other forms of "distant" background motion." --wikipedia The STARMAN PR stunt was filmed in a studio with a "globe movie" projected onto background screens. There are obvious creases or seams in between panels or screens which become evident when the globe passes in front of them. These are seen as a vertical line dragging across the globe's surface. The vertical line do not appear on the car in the foreground. This happens EVERY TIME the globe passes behind the car. At other times, the car appears submerged in water---as does the rocket nozzle----and BOTH have apparent bubbles. The bubbles--NOT SPACE DUST--- travel upwards in a very bubbly manner while STARMAN orbits straight ahead at 70,000 miles per hour. The scenes where there is no visible globe are the underwater scenes. IT IS ALL A MOVIE! Tim Ozman
