> The large galactic laughed when the human told them about an eagle that was their best friend. A bird? A fluffy thing with no brains?
> Then the person opened the carrier of the napping bird. It was a Harpy Eagle.

[AN: I am doing zero research into whether Harpy Eagles can be trained like falcons]

Horg was always amused by Humans and their pets. The dinky little Deathworlders had a knack for taming just about anything that could injure or eat them or both. So very many of them were so tiny and cute, just like the Humans. A very few were -at least to Horg- appreciatively large. Horg smiled in anticipatory appreciation, not caring that their fangs would show.

Human Kem had a large carrier. Well. Large for a Human. He occasionally checked through an air hole or two or made low, comforting noises to whatever was inside.

"Little Hu-man Kem," Horg bent down to match eye-heights. "You have little Tear-ran pet? What is in box?"

"Oh. Hey Horg. It's a bird from Terra. One of the raptors."

"Little bird? In such big box? It needs fly, yes? You let Horg see tiny tweet-tweet fluff ball?"

"Eh... not so tiny. Definitely not tweet-tweet." Kem opened the box, cooing gently at the creature in Terran. What came out was a bird, true, but one roughly the size of a Human child. It was clearly heavy, as Human Kem braced the arm carrying the hooded beast. "This lovely little darling hunts _monkeys_ among other middling-small creatures. She can hit like a bowling ball at high velocity. Those talons? Strong enough to crush my skull."

Horg found this immensely funny. Of _course_ a Human would make a pet out of a predator that could end their life on a whim. All it had to do to cause Kem pain was tighten its claws.

There was only one natural question to ask, "Can I hold her too?"
