Looking across at the summer landscape around the backcountry side of Chak Peak (2775m, 9104ft). Despite, or perhaps because of, the inhospitable nature of these desolate landscapes I keeps getting drawn back to them. Taken from Maccarib Pass on the hike out of the Tonquin Valley.
