Hello Steemians,
I hope you all are having a wonderful day and if not don't worry tomorrow will be better.
So, Last week I posted ten_facts_one_lie challenge which was fun and that one took me to the memory lane. No kidding when I was thinking about the facts and lies I almost time traveled. So here are the stories behind those facts and lies.  

# 1.I love fishing but I rarely do it. - TRUE

Now, this is a no-brainer, I have spent half of my life in the beautiful Islands of Andaman, And Although I suck badly at the fishing I love the sport. The feeling of being in the knee-deep water and flinging the hook in the sea is just awesome and the best part is waiting. This is different you are not in hurry or racing or calculating EMIs. You are just standing in the knee-deep water waiting for a fish to take the bait only to release it back into the water. Unless it's a big one.

# 2.I had 5 stitches on my forehead at 2 different places.- TRUE

Now this one is also true, You know how Kids can be. So this one time I was pretending to be Superman with the curtain tied around my neck and running as fast as I could and I woke up in hospital. I cape got stuck and I lost balance and Bham!!!! Table corner. Lesson learned - Flying and running are different. 

# 3.I donate blood regularly. - TRUE

This has a sad origin once a man came to our hostel looking for blood group AB-ve none came forward as either their blood group didn't match or was too afraid. I stepped forward but the problem was I didn't know mine, I told the man that I don't know my blood group but If its a match then he could take mine. Unfortunately, mine turned out to be A+ve we check with the blood bank but they had none. From that moment one I had been donating Blood atleast 2 a year and a proud member of the Lions Blood Bank club. But I always wonder have I actually saved a life or are they just feeding the vampires. 





# 4.I had been planning to read Bhagvad Gita, Quran and Bible since past 3 year but haven’t finished any one of them. -TRUE

Okay, So this is actually a pending challenge. Well, Not a challenge but was more of a religious argument with my boss. Trust me I was never a believer in the religion. For me, religions were a lost cause which many people had been bending as per their personal gains. I will not go into the details of the argument, But finally, my boss has concluded that any wise person would not argue on this subject to which I objected to the religious peoples who argue are not wise? and the answer is read Bhagvad Gita, Quran and Bible and you will know the answer. and that was 2015. 


# 5.I asked my professor out once. - TRUE

Let's just say she made a wise choice for saying No to me. Haha. I was an Idiot, OK. And what Idiots do? They ask their professors out. I was a serious guy and smiles very rarely so once she said that my smile is very nice and should smile often. And being an Idiot I thought she was (you know) into me and Long story short, I was let go of with a strict warning. Good thing I didn't ask her at the beginning of the semester. Now she is married and has 2 lovely kids. 

  
 
# 6.I featured in a short film. - TRUE

This is another event that was totally unexpected, I was watching Terranova and there was knock on the door. And there was this dude. I knew him as one of the 4th floor guys. So he asked me a favor, to star in his short film as a stoner. I had a full-grown beard and shaggy clothes fit for the part and this was a last minute change by the director so all I had to do was lie down on the couch type furniture. No Dialogues, I just had to look stoned. They said I did well. or perhaps I was stoned. Anyway, I do know if they ever released that or scrapped that project, But all I know is that I lost a good chance of learning something great. After 3 years when I went back to see them, they moved out.    


# 7.There must be around 25 books in my home which I bought but never read. - TRUE

This is again true, And many people know it. I had developed this habit of reading long back It started with "five point someone" and then with Dan Brown and then with Fredrick Forsyth and went one to a point when I was just reading stuff without any interest and soon the enthusiasm started fading too the point where I don't even remember whether I read that book or not, Its always 50-60% I read and then the book is shelved. Things were so bad that I bought a second copy of  "The monk who sold his Ferrari" without realizing that I already have one at home. *Yeah inuke, Just buy more stuff that you don't need*    

# 8.I ranked fifth in secondary school exam in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with the highest in History. -FALSE

Now this is the false one, My ranking was so bad that I don't remember that how bad it was, All I remember is that my father taught the class the subject. Everybody scored more than 70 and I scored 35 in CBSE. Hence proving that talent and knowledge cannot be passed down through genes.

# 9.I went 36hrs straight partying, only on booze and smoking and nothing else. - TRUE

Well, it happened, I wish I could write more about it but I dont remember most of it. All I remember is that They told me not to have food before the party so I skipped dinner, Than all I remember is Bucket party, B wing and Happy new year. And went on to skip the breakfast and lunch and for dinner again booze. I remember puking on my best friend and him kicking my butt next day. Not a Proud moment. 

# 10.I once got so drunk, that I called my mother to have a talk. - TRUE

Ok, Another not proud moment is this, I had this system of calling my family before the party so that they don't call back when you know I am on cloud nineteen or Pandora. when one of my stupid friends observed and started mocking me. I usually don't give in to such action but he got on my nerve and one thing lead to another and to prove how much of a cool dude (idiot) and badass (stupid) I am, I picked up the Nokia which my dad gifted me and call my mom to tell her that I was drunk and nothing to worry about. Well, the next day my life has changed. You know from that moment on I wasn't able to use the phrase "khana peena ho gaya kya?" to my family members. Because the reply would always be "Khana ho gaya, Peene ki aadat hume nahi hai beta!!!"


# 11.My sister is afraid of sparklers and crackers and I am the reason- TRUE

True again, Its the kid the same kid who stitched on the forehead. So it was Diwali and you know how kids can be afraid of the sparkles and I and my sister were playing when I got afraid as the sparkles were burning faster than I  thought so I had to throw away the burning stick and I panicked and I threw the burning sparker on my sister. And she suffered from serious burns.  I still am sorry. 


So that was the insight guys, So of the bitter and sweet memories.
