Liviu Vasilica was born on the second day of July 1950, in Plosca, Teleorman County. His parents were intellectuals, his father a schoolmaster and his mother a teacher. The little child was fascinated by Maria Tanase, whom he listened carefully on radio. The Master learned the first songs from a teleorman rocket named Gogu Ivascu. The parents' dream for their son, Liviu , was to become a pharmacist, which has happened. For a while Liviu Vasilica was also a pediatrician at the Alexandria County Hospital. Those who knew him said he loved the children very much, and he was very gentle with them. He was married to Florina Vasilica for 23 years and together they had four children: Svetlana Vasilica, Valentin Vasilica, Florin Vasilica and Livia Vasilica. Of all the Master's children, only Florin is the one who leads the legacy of his father, being the leader of the 'Teleorman folk group'.
