I was thinking what is a common thing easy to find around the world and could be use as a reference of price.
A can of coke looks like to meet these criteria.

Here in Brazil, a can of coke (355ml or 12oz) costs around R$3.50 (three reais and fifty cents).
Considering 1 dollar = 3.65 reais, a coke costs 0.95 cents of dollar.
