So far, we’ve explored the left bank of the ***Maine River***, the historic heart of Angers, with its castle and medieval streets. But today, we’re heading to the ***right bank***, a quieter, greener area that reveals another side of the city. This is where you’ll find the ***Jean Lurçat and Contemporary Tapestry Museum***, housed in the former Saint-Jean Hospital, a gem of Plantagenet Gothic architecture dating back to the 12th century.
This historic site holds an outstanding collection of modern tapestries, including the famous series ***The Song of the World*** by ***Jean Lurçat***. In it, the artist expresses his poetic and deeply engaged vision of humanity in the face of the upheavals of the 20th century.

Jusqu’à présent, nous avons exploré la rive gauche de ***la Maine***, cœur historique d’Angers, avec son château et ses ruelles médiévales. Mais aujourd’hui, cap sur la ***rive droite***, plus paisible et verdoyante, où se cache un autre visage de la ville. C’est ici que se trouve le ***musée Jean Lurçat*** et de la tapisserie contemporaine, installé dans l’ancien hôpital Saint-Jean, un joyau du style gothique Plantagenêt datant du XII<sup>ème</sup> siècle. 
Ce lieu chargé d’histoire abrite une collection exceptionnelle de tapisseries modernes, dont la célèbre série ***Le Chant du Monde*** de ***Jean Lurçat***. L’artiste y exprime sa vision poétique et engagée de l’humanité face aux bouleversements du XX<sup>ème</sup> siècle.
