Saludos,  estamos en época de carnaval y a mi hijo Rafael le pidieron llevar una máscara con forma de gato para la escuela, todos los niños de su sección tienen que llevarla del mismo animal pero cada quien es libre de hacerlo del color o forma de su preferencia,  estuve pensando un rato y luego decidí hacer una máscara no de cualquier gato, sino de mi gatita preferida Grumpy Cat, ella es una gata siamés que se hizo popular gracias a las redes sociales hace unos años y fue tanto su revuelo que hasta en una película para público infantil actuó, yo sigo su página de Facebook llamada [The official Grumpy Cat](https://www.facebook.com/TheOfficialGrumpyCat/) donde siempre publican fotos de Grumpy aunque ya tiene una edad avanzada,  la forma particular de su rostro hace que siempre parezca un gato enojado, eso hace que sea tan adorable, acá les muestro cómo hice la máscara por si quieren hacer una igual.

# Paso 1 / Step 1

Con el lápiz hacer el dibujo sobre la cartulina, en este paso se tiene que tomar en cuenta las medidas del rostro de la persona que va a utilizar la máscara, la cara del gato en este caso mide 18cm de ancho, mientras que la distancia entre los agujeros para los ojos es de 3.5 cm en el caso de mi hijo y dichos agujeros miden igualmente 3.5 cm de ancho. Cortar los agujeros con un cúter y los bordes de la máscara. Luego pintar toda la máscara con una base de pintura blanca.

Con pintura beige pintar el rostro del gato a excepción de el área que bordea los ojos,  con pintura marrón claro pintar el área alrededor de los ojos y la parte interna de las orejas, con pintura marrón oscuro pintar los bordes de las orejas.

Con pintura azul pintar el iris de los ojos, con rosado pintar la nariz, con negro pintar las pupilas de los ojos dejando en blanco las zonas de brillo, se  llegan a obviar este detalle pueden hacer los brillos con pintura blanca. Luego con pintar blanco el hocico y hacer sombras con el pincel humedecido y pintura negra diluida, de eso modo se hacer detalles como los bigotes, cejas, bordes del hocico y borde del rostro.

Con el hilo y aguja coser las puntas del elástico a los cuadros de tela, luego pegar dicha tela a la máscara usando un pegamento para tela o silicón, asegurar con pinzas mientras se seca el pegamento.
