No matter how old we are, our bodies are designed to enjoy adrenaline, discover the unknown, and share with strangers who suddenly become the best travel companions. This is how I come to tell you today about an incredible experience, which took place in the heart of the Cordillera de la Costa mountains in Venezuela, a place of unique beauty that also hides great mysteries and treasures waiting to be discovered. >***Versión en Español*** >### **Descubriendo el Secreto de las Montañas** >Viajar es uno de los mayores placeres que uno puede disfrutar en esta corta vida, pero aquellos paseos que conllevan un viaje de aventura son sin duda alguna los mejores. No importa la edad que tengamos, nuestro cuerpo está diseñado para disfrutar de la adrenalina, descubrir lo desconocido y compartir con extraños que de pronto se vuelven los mejores compañeros de recorrido. Es de esta manera como hoy les vengo a contar una experiencia increíble, cuyo escenario fue el corazón de las montañas de la Cordillera de la Costa en Venezuela, un espacio de singular belleza y que al mismo tiempo esconde grandes enigmas y tesoros por descubrir.  <center>*Design Made with Canva*</center>   Between the mountains of Aragua and La Guaira states, we find a small town with very peculiar characteristics, as its physical and social features take us back to Germany's Black Forest, a place characterized by dense nature and a fairly cold climate, where the houses are gabled, built of wood, and have very distinctive features. But it turns out that we are many miles away from the old continent and right in the middle of a tropical paradise, where Colonia Tovar stands as a bastion of culture, excellent landscapes, and a very welcoming atmosphere. >Entre las montañas del estado Aragua y el estado La Guaira encontramos un pequeño pueblo de características muy peculiares, ya que sus rasgos físicos y sociales nos remontan a la Alemania de la Selva Negra, un lugar caracterizado por una naturaleza tupida y un clima bastante frío, en donde las casas son a dos aguas, construidas en madera y con rasgos muy particulares. Pero resulta que estamos a muchos kilómetros del viejo continente y justo en medio de un paraíso tropical, en donde la Colonia Tovar, se alza como un baluarte lleno de cultura, excelentes paisajes de un ambiente muy acogedor.    But this time, I'm not here to tell you about this idyllic town, but rather to recount the story of a tour that took me to discover the most interesting and profound aspects of everyday life in this area. It is a tour aboard an off-road Jeep, which departs from the city center and takes us to a hill on the outskirts of this small town. There, we have the opportunity to interact with residents who are dedicated to farming, production, and traditional commercial activities. >Pero en esta oportunidad no vengo a contarles sobre este paradisíaco pueblo, sino a narrarles la historia vivida dentro de un tour que me llevó a conocer los aspectos más interesantes y profundos de la cotidianidad de esta zona. Se trata de un paseo realizado a bordo de un Jeep todoterreno, los cuales parten desde el centro de la ciudad y nos conducen hacia una colina de las afueras de esta pequeña ciudad y es allí donde tenemos la oportunidad de interactuar con pobladores dedicados al trabajo del campo, la producción y el desarrollo de actividades comerciales tradicionales.       Here I was able to experience what daily life is like on the outskirts of this tourist area, admire truly beautiful and little-known landscapes, discover strawberry, flower, and peach plantations, and we also visited a factory where this fruit is processed into export-quality products. We were able to talk with the owners and workers, most of whom are part of the same family, who are moving forward together on the path of development and progress. >Aquí pude sentir cómo es el trabajo cotidiano en las periferias de esta zona turística, puede admirar paisajes realmente bellos y poco conocidos, descubrí plantaciones de fresas, flores y duraznos, además visitamos una fábrica en donde se procesa este fruto y de la cual salen productos con calidad de exportación, además pudimos conversar con sus propietarios y trabajadores, los cuales en su mayoría forman parte de una misma familia, la cual avanzan Juntos por el sendero del desarrollo del progreso.      We also visited an artisanal wine factory, where the most impressive thing was seeing how, in this same space, a family business has managed to efficiently develop all the steps in the commercial chain, from fruit production to the sale of the finished product. This achievement not only serves as an example for all of us who were able to witness this marvel, but also shows the country and the world that when you have the will, anything is possible. >También conocimos una fábrica de vino artesanal, aquí lo más impresionante fue observar como en este mismo espacio, también una empresa de carácter familiar ha logrado desarrollar de manera eficaz todos los pasos de la cadena comercial, lo cual va desde la producción del fruto, hasta la venta del producto terminado. Un logro que no solo sirve de ejemplo para todos los que pudimos presenciar esta maravilla, sino que le demuestra el país y el mundo de que cuando se tienen ganas todo es posible.     Traveling through these mountains means feeling fully connected with the immense nature that surrounds us, which gives us great gifts, exuberant beauty, and infinite perfection. But being here also makes us realize that there can be a healthy interaction between humans and their environment, where destruction and predation are not the factors that determine life, but rather coexistence and gratitude are the fundamental elements that drive collective development. >Transitar por estas montañas es sentirse en contacto de manera plena con la inmensa naturaleza que nos rodea, la cual nos regala grandes bondades, exuberante belleza y una perfección infinita. Pero estando acá también nos damos cuenta de que puede existir una interacción sana entre el humano y su entorno, en donde la destrucción y la depredación no son los factores que determinan la vida, sino que al contrario es la coexistencia y el agradecimiento, los elementos fundamentales que impulsan el desarrollo colectivo.   What began as a trivial outing, I now recount as a life lesson, an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed and had the pleasure of sharing with my father, who on this occasion once again became my adventure companion, the one who fears nothing and faces the unknown head-on. We both enjoyed a different kind of day, a journey full of emotions, beautiful views, and an energetic and spiritual recharge, which allowed us to return home with the joy of having completed a unique and unrepeatable journey. >Lo que empezó como un paseo trivial, hoy lo cuento como una enseñanza de vida, una experiencia que disfrutes enormemente y de la cual tuve el agrado de poder compartirla con mi padre, quien en esta oportunidad volvió a ser mi compañero de aventuras, ese que no le tiene miedo a nada y se enfrenta a lo desconocido.
