Jon Kabat-Zinn is the creator of Mindfulness tecnique, he mixed part of Zen, Yoga and Buddhism along with Occidental Science. Its objective is stress reduction by means of meditation, this meditation it is not necessarily carried out in a quite place but wherever you are, to face any situation with calm listening to yourself and your surroundings.
This is a necessity for our emotional, physical and spiritual health.
