## The importance of a Community

Good morning Hivers!

Over the last few days I have had the opportunity to think a lot about a topic that we often take for granted, but which is really important for our growth on Hive: the ***Community***.

Ever since we register on Hive, one of the very first things we look for is the right community for us, for our posts, for our articles.

I never questioned carefully what a community was and never questioned enough about its importance, until I realised its real function and real help.

***But what is a community?***

This is a very complex and very personal question, unfortunately there is no single definition of what a community is on Hive. But by questioning ourselves we could give it a definition and try to reason why a community is really so important to us.

Banally at first glance we could say that a community is a kind of group in which there are rules to be respected and in which one can post an article that is in line with its standards and its focus and/or topics.

Banally all of us, depending on our articles, our posts, tend to choose the right community for that content we have produced. Often we get it wrong, often we get it right.

For me a community is not just a place to post your work and hope for an upvote. For me a community is much more than that, it is like a big family where we all try to get to know each other better and try to grow by reading each other's content and contribute in turn to the growth of the community.

Being part of a community means first of all respecting its rules, which are usually written in the posts set at the top of the community itself. The community has guidelines that must be respected both in order not to go 'off-topic' and to respect not only the community but all the users in it.

Being part of a community means becoming familiar with its members, getting to know them and respecting them. Creating real interaction between community members can help us firstly to understand how Hive really works and secondly to make our way through this fntastic blockchain.

Interaction is the basis of a good path not only within a community, but of Hive in general. If you think you are only using Hive for your own interests without producing a minimum of interaction between users and community, you are making a big mistake and it is never too late to change course.

Interaction and engagement, therefore, are the basis of a good stay on Hive. But they are also the basis of a good stay on the various communities that exist here on this ecosystem.

A Community is what you need not only to start your journey on Hive, but also to continue it.

Surely by making use of the Communities you can achieve far greater results than by not doing so.

## My favourite communities

What are my favourite communities? Which communities do I usually post on?

I'll start by saying that being Italian I use an Italian community a lot, which here on Hive is like home to me.

Olio di Balena is an Italian community created by Italians that allows all Italian users to have a good interaction and be 'facilitated' in their activity here on Hive. The content that can be posted on this community is very varied, you can post anything as long as you respect the rules. The only rule is to produce articles in Italian, but the use of a double language (or triple, or quadruple) is also permitted.

What I post usually in fact has the double translation Italian/English.

Olio Di Balena has been my home from the exact moment I joined Hive and has given me a huge hand in growing and understanding how Hive works.

But besides this Community, I also usually use other Communities to post my content.

One Community that I am learning to appreciate and use is definitely LeoFinance.

LeoFinance is a Community created for all users who are interested in Crypto and Finance in general. Within this Community it is possible not only to post content, but also to read very interesting content.

I use it a lot, in fact, to read and learn. Its users are really very productive and never trivial. I have found a lot of interesting content that has enriched me in terms of knowledge about both the crypto and finance world and the Hive ecosystem.

For the past few days I have been trying to be consistent in posting on it, my goal is to grow and learn many new things but also to be active on this community and get noticed.

In addition to these two communities I mentioned, there are so many others, each with its own characteristics and merits.

If I were to mention them all, I would need at least 10000 characters, and I certainly don't want to turn this article into a compendium of communties.

It is enough to know that depending on the content you are looking for or want to publish, there are various communities to choose from.

I mention only one, not because it is more important than the others, but because it is perhaps useful to many.

The community of Splinterlands, a much-loved PlayToEarn game by this BlockChain.

## Conclusion

Being an active member of a community means not only publishing content and expecting to benefit monetarily from it. Being a member of a community means interacting with the community, being a living part of it. Learning from it and helping to teach others. Producing worthy content in line with its standards.

For me, being part of a community means being part of a big family.

## L'importanza di una Community

Buongiorno Hivers!

In questi giorni ho avuto occasione di riflettere molto su un argomento che spesso diamo per scontato, ma che è davvero importante ai fini della nostra crescita su Hive: la ***Community***.

Sin da quando ci registriamo su Hive, una delle primissime cose andiamo a ricercare è la community giusta per noi, per i nostri post, per i nostri articoli.

Non mi sono mai chiesto attentamente cosa fosse una community e non mi sono mai interrogato abbastanza sulla sua importanza, fin quando ho capito la sua reale funzione e il suo reale aiuto.

***Ma che cos'è una community?***

Questa è una domanda davvero complessa e molto personale, purtroppo non esiste una definizione univoca di cosa è una Community su Hive. Ma interrogandoci potremmo dargli una definizione e cercare di ragionare sul perchè una community per noi è davvero così importante.

Banalmente a primo impatto potremmo dire che una community è una sorta di gruppo in cui esistono delle regole da rispettare e nella quale si può postare un articolo che sia in linea con i suoi standard e con i suoi focus e/o argomenti.

Banalmente tutti noi a seconda dei nostri articoli, dei nostri post, tendiamo a scegliere la community giusta per quel contenuto che abbiamo prodotto. Spesso ci capita di sbagliare, spesso invece di capita di centrare il punto.

Per me una community non è soltanto il luogo in cui postare i propri lavori e sperare in un upvote. Per me una Community è molto di più, è come una grande famiglia in cui tutti noi cerchiamo di conoscerci meglio e cerchiamo di crescere leggendo i contenuti altrui e contribuire a nostra volta alla crescita della community stessa.

Essere parte di una community vuol dire rispettare innanzitutto le regole di essa, che in genere sono scritte nei post fissati in alto nella community stessa. La community ha delle linee guida che devono essere rispettate sia per non andare "fuori tema" sia per rispettare non soltanto la community ma tutti gli utenti che la compongono.

Essere parte di una Community vuol dire familiarizzare con i suoi membri, imparare a conoscerli e rispettarli. Creare una interazione vera tra i membri della community può aiutarci in primis a capire come funziona davvero Hive e in secondo luogo a farci strada in questa fntastica blockchain.

L'interazione è alla base di un buon percorso non solo all'interno di una community, ma di Hive in generale. Se pensate di usare Hive soltanto per i vostri interessi senza produrre un minimo di interazione tra utenti e community state sbagliando di grosso e accorgersene per cambiare rotta non è mai troppo tardi.

Interazione ed engagment, dunque, sono alla base di una buona permanenza su Hive. Ma sono anche alla base di una buona permanenza sulle varie Community che esistono qui su questo ecosistema.

Una Community è quello di cui avete bisogno non soltanto per iniziare il vostro percorso su Hive, ma anche per farlo proseguire.

Sicuramente sfruttando le Community potrete ottenere dei risultati di molto superiori rispetto a non farlo.

## Le mie community preferite

Quali sono le mie communities preferite? Quali sono le communities sulle quali posto di solito?

Parto dal dire che essendo Italiano uso molto una community Italiana che qui su Hive per me è come se fosse casa.

Olio di Balena è una community Italiana creata da italiani che permette a tutti gli utenti Italiani di avere una buona interazione e di essere "facilitati" nella loro attività qui su Hive. I contenuti che possono essere postati su questa community sono molto vari, si può postare tutto purchè si rispettino le regole. Unica regola: produrre articoli in Italiano, ma è concesso anche l'utilizzo di una doppia lingua ( o tripla, o quadrupla).

Quello che posto di solito infatti presenta la doppia traduzione Italiano/Inglese.

Olio Di Balena è stata la mia casa dal momento esatto in cui mi sono iscritto su Hive e mi ha dato una grossissima mano nel crescere e nel capire il funzionamento di Hive.

Ma oltre a questa Community, di solito utilizzo anche altre Communities per postare i miei contenuti.

Una Community che sto imparando ad apprezzare e ad usare è sicuramente LeoFinance.

LeoFinance è una Community creata per tutti gli utenti che si interessano di Crypto e Finanza in generale. All'interno di questa Community è possibile non soltanto postare contenuti, ma anche leggerne di molto interessanti.

Io la utilizzo molto, infatti, per leggere ed imparare. I suoi utenti sono davvero molto produttivi e mai banali. Ho trovato moltissimi contenuti interessanti che mi hanno arricchito in termini di conoscenza sia del mondo crypto e finanza che dell'ecosistema di Hive.

Da qualche giorno sto cercando di essere costante nella pubblicazione su di essa, il mio obbiettivo è crescere ed imparare tante nuove cose ma anche quello di essere attivo su questa community e farmi notare.

Oltre a queste due community che ho citato, ne esistono davvero tantissime, ognuna con le sua caratteristiche e i suoi pregi.

Se dovessi citarle tutte mi occorrerebbero almeno 10000 caratteri, e sicuramente non voglio trasformare questo articolo in un compendio di communties.

Basta sapere che a seconda del contenuto che state cercando o che volete pubblicare esistono varie communities tra le quali scegliere.

Ne cito soltanto un'altra, non perchè è più importante delle altre, ma perchè forse è utile a molti.

## Conclusioni

Essere membro attivo di una Community vuol dire non soltanto pubblicare contenuti ed aspettare di trarre vantaggio in termini monetari da essi. Essere membro di una Community vuol dire interagire con la Community, essere parte viva di essa. Imparare da essa e contribuire ad insegnare agli altri. Produrre contenuti degni e in linea con i suoi standard.

Per me essere parte di una Community vuol dire essere parte di una grande famiglia.
