Everyday is a blessing and an opportunity to find one of two reasons to be grateful for; life because there are many whose bodies were deposited in the morgue today despite how hard they fought to be alive. Good health, because someone out there is willing to pay anything just to get his/her health back but the hope of that is dashed in the wind. Roof over our heads because some are wandering here and there in the cold streets wishing they could see a thatched roof to lay their heads. The list could go on and on. There's always something to be grateful for.

Five days ago I marked my birthday. I couldn't make a post that very day due to how busy that day was for me even though it was on a Sunday. But my phone was buzzing with notifications,calls and messages. My Facebook timeline was already flooded with birthday messages too many to start reading and responding from family and friends that I was taken aback by such a kind gesture. Honestly, loving family and good friends are great priceless assets.  I am deeply thankful and grateful for the wonderful people God has placed in my life.

Sometimes I look back at where I'm coming from, where I am at the moment and where I'm going to, and I'm filled with goosebumps in awe of God's grace and mercy upon me. It has not been an easy journey. Life's lessons learned so far through self discipline and principles even when it is not convenient. It has been an amazing journey with roller coaster rides but in all it is worth the ride. I'm thankful for the woman I've become and going to be because there's always room for improvement.

I'm grateful for the @wearealivetribe for this initiative - #thankfulthursday. If we could just sit back and reminisce over our lives we will find that it would be a difficult task to pen down all the benefits we have received from our creator. Let me stop here for now, till my next post.
