In order to stay relevant, you have to keep releasing music. If you become popular, you have to strike while you are still hot. Or else, you would be gone from the scene. ### Music atmosphere changes The current state of music changes very fast. If you aren't wise enough, you would be left behind immediately. That's what boy bands and girl bands do in order to take advantage of their fame. Remember the era of the Spice Girls when the gap of the release of their first and second album is just a year? How about One Direction which has been releasing albums yearly until their fifth and final album? Even Britney Spears came to a point of releasing an album each calendar year. That's even the same case for Rihanna. But Rihanna seemed gone tired, and the gap of releases of *Unapologetic* and *Anti* is more than three years, and the latter album up to now is more than three years, and the singer might be releasing a new album soon. One of the popular artists who released albums quickly was Ariana Grande who released the albums *Sweetener* and *Thank You, Next* in just 6 months. ### Artists do get tired too Some artists doesn't like the idea of releasing albums frequently. Good thing, there are artists who remains relevant despite releasing albums years after like Adele, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and others. Of course, they have to attend to their personal and private lives too. They are humans who also gets tired. Artists do need to take a break. They get tired, and they have a life to attend to. #####

Source of shared Link
