<center> ***AUTOBOTS*** 🤖 This entry is specially made for the clay at contest held by @josejirafa! *I used a screwdriver because I forgot to buy carving tools and I bought some Play-doh.* I have always loved sculpting but I haven't sculpted in a long long time but it's great to start again. The challenge this time is to mold our ***Favorite cartoon character*** Now I've watched transformers cartoons and movies and I love robots, machines and even considered taking up a course for college related to machines before in highschool. 👉***Optimus Prime***👈 I used the movie robot as reference since my mom suggested so 😅✌️ They laughed and said "let's see if she can do it" Well, here it is! *They said it looked great. Im so excited. However it's so hard to decide which anime/cartoon or comic character to draw. It's all in here! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s72-pTLJNRI <sub>Music credits to Linkin Park: *what I've done* and *New Divide*</sub> > Please feel free to comment and critique! 🎨Title: Optimus Prime 🎨Medium: Modeling Clay 🎨Materials: Clay, screw driver, clean sheet of paper, reference ⏳Duration: 2-3 hours Incase any of you are wondering, I could not sculpt the whole body for a number of reasons ❌The clay is too soft ❌Too little clay ❌There is no support/ wire skeleton on a base for a proper standing sculpture to be made ❌ Limited colors  ***Although*** Creating a half bust of Optimus: ☑️ Saves time ☑️ Helps more focus ☑️ Easier ☑️ Portable ☑️ Saves on clay  You can mix some colors to make a few gradations so you'll have more options on different shades if you plan on making one. </center> # SOME PROCESS PHOTOS 📸 <center> These are the very few I took and I'll give a brief explanation since ***It's all in the video***!  🎨***What did I do here***? I initially made an egg shape or oval of the face then I added pieces of clay and layering them. ***We add, not subtract*** Leonardo da Vinci used a big block of marble and started and chiseled it into the Pieta. *Some sculptures work that way* Here I add layers to make a whole, we mold this way. Just a little subtraction later on for reshaping and details.  <sub> add add add more</sub>  🎨 ***Add details and more parts*** This clay is super easy to mold and you just rub it and the surface smoothens and its easy to stick and join parts together.  >I used yellow clay instead of white to emphasize light and also to add color variation.  🎨***Keep going*** > Do your best Jacinta! You can opt to buy a clay which is harder so its more moldable into angular shapes and doesn't flatten easily. Some layers join when I need them to be defined and separate. ☝️***Be very careful***☝️  Thankfully the canons were sturdy, almost killed me. They fell after a few hours but it's okay. 📸***Model box***📸 I put it inside a model box. This box by the way was given to me by my ever so thoughtful bestie @fukumineko 🌷 Thanks! I wish I could do more details or maybe if I MADE A BIGGER ONE... 🤔💭 I'd make it more precise and not look like a birthday cake icing decor.
