I saw this bunch of Violet-toothed Polypore growing on a stump yesterday. This is the first time that I've seen it. I love the violet coloring. This fungus breaks down old stumps and wood that are decaying in the woods. It does have some medicinal properties but I'm going to have to do some more research before I'm comfortable using this fungus/mushroom.
