This plant grows traditionally or not cultivated intensively, it can grow in hot and humidity of tropical forest. Many of people only utilize the banana contents, whether it is for food or for body health, a few of them take benefit of <em>its peel</em>. Actually, the banana peel also contain chemicals that we can use for <em>filtration or purification</em>, such as <em>water and cooking oil</em> purification, and can also be used for composite materials CNT (<em>Carbon Nanotube</em>). From a source said the banana peel contains the <em>tannin</em> that can interfere with the digestion of livestock. Even thought, banana peel can be used as water purifier, composite material, and produce ethanol etc. Chemically, the banana peels contain several chemical compounds namely, cellulose (hemicellulose) galactose, rhamnosus, chlorophyll pigment and pectin (<em>galacturonic acid). </em>The Excess of banana peels as water purifier is it an organic substance and doesn't harm the water and it can be used several times, if it compared to other purifiers such as <em>alum</em> will make water be an odor. In this case we can mean the filtration is a process of raw water purification into hygiene water which healthy to drink, because the containing of pollutant metals in water can increase the water hardness and turbidity of water caused by suspended particles. In addition, cellulose can also bind the heavy metals. Thus, the content of<em> galacturonic acid</em> and <em>cellulose</em> of banana peels can bind <em>Chromium</em> (Cr) that acts as a contaminant in the water. Carbon nanotube was used in the affairs of <em>nanotechnology, optics, electronics</em> and in a various materials science and technology, it has a different character of other allotropes and tremendous strength, because of its exceptional thermal and mechanical conductivity properties, it was used as additive materials such as auto parts. The nanotube name comes from the length of carbon structure and the wall cavity formed by an atom (Carbon) called as <em>Graphene</em>. The strength of nanotube resembles the graphite (allotrope carbon) because its atomic bonds involve a carbon (C) all of orbital 2 hybrids (Sp<sup>2</sup> atom orbital). This makes the nanotubes have tremendous strenght. Generally, CNT was made from <em>methane, ethylene, benzene</em> etc, or a chemical compounds that have many <em><strong>carbon</strong></em><em> elements</em>. But the CNT can also be synthesized from polymer compound (organic), and <em>banana peel</em> waste is an <em>organic polymer</em> that can be utilized as CNT raw material, The banana skin contained carbon element about 59% in the form of <em>carbohydrates</em> that can be used as carbon source of CNT raw material manufacture. Consider Please, In the banana peel contained <em><strong>carbohydrate</strong></em> with chemical formula C<sub>m</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>n</sub> or in empirical formulas is <em>C<sub>5</sub>H<sub>10</sub>O<sub>4</sub></em>. Then banana peel also contained <em><strong>galacturonic acid</strong></em> with chemical formula <em>C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>10</sub>O<sub>7</sub></em>, it mean inside carbohydrate and galacturonic acid contained <em>Carbon</em> element (C), In the past, i shared about<em> Activated Carbon</em> that act as absorber.
