STEP 1: Have the appearance of the leader of the pack.

No matter what you have to have the outward appearance of someone who is running the show. Whatever the show is, you have to look like your the one running it. If it's a business meeting, dress and present yourself as a business professional male/female. This includes everything from your hair style to your choice of footwear. Don't wear cheap cologne or trashy perfume. You want elegance and pride. You want to smell like your the alpha male/female. The first impression they make of you should be an A+.

STEP 2: Know exactly what to say and when to say it.

Just like how you would prep yourself for giving a speech, also prepare yourself for a meeting of any kind, social or professional. Have rehearsed greetings and follow up comments for potential people you will meet in the gathering. Have an answer for everything, even if it's just something off the top of your head. Any answer is better than no answer. Do your homework and predict what the people will say to you and any questions they might ask. Practice makes perfect.

STEP 3: Make proper eye contact without hesitation.

When they are speaking to you and you want to show respect and attention, look directly in the eye while they talk and nod your head as you approve. If you are not following what they are saying or you disagree at all, make slightly distracted eye movements. Don't ever blink more than necessary.  If you have no interest in speaking with them, don't look at them at all.

STEP 4: Start and End the meeting with a handshake, accordingly.

When greeting them, shake hands with your hellos and goodbyes. Firm handshake for business, casual handshake for socials. Remember to share eye contact with STEP 4, very important.
