I have just recently moved back to N.Y. after four years in the south (2 in Georgia, 2 in Florida) and I noticed something about southerners in general. None of them realize there is a whole state behind that big ol' city!! The minute you mention you are from New York it is instantly assumed you mean The Big Apple. I would like to rectify the conception of this beautiful state and that **camera** would go a long way in doing so. I am planning to do a tour de force of N.Y. this summer complete with photo essays of the natural wonders and beauties that abound in this state. I am sure that **camera** would much better capture the images than my own.

I live in the Finger Lakes Region of central New York. It is so named for the eleven (eleven?!) glacier cut lakes that resemble splayed fingers when viewed from the air. Scattered throughout are many gorges and smaller lakes that are a masterpiece of nature. There are also many vineyards here since this is the wine country of N.Y. where many award winning wines are produced. The whole area is picturesque and the views are breathtaking. Moving to the southern border of the state you will pass through the Susquehanna and Mohawk valleys (known as the leatherstocking region) to the Catskill Mountains. Driving through the backroads of this state you will discover a tranquility lost to progress. I would love to win the **camera** and be able to share the beauty with Steemit. At the northernmost part of the state you have the thousand islands and my personal favorite place The Adirondack Mountains. You can take a ferry ride through the Thousand Islands and cross to Canada. It is an awesome ride as you take in the scenery and learn of the islands from the tour guide. In the summer my sons and I take a week off to camp on Terrell Pond in the Adirondacks. We fly our gear in by seaplane and make the 4 mile hike down the mountain to the most beautiful place I have ever been to. The only way to get any phone reception is from a canoe out on the lake and when you wake early to the sound of the lake loons to see the sunrise over the mountains you would swear you were on another plane of existence. My heart lives on Terrell Pond and I visit it as often as I can.

Two views of Terrell Pond with my run of the mill **camera**. The **camera** you are offering would really make a difference!!!

In conclusion I would like to add that these are only a few areas of a very beautiful state. There is Niagara Falls, The Great Lakes Ontario and Erie, Buttermilk Falls, the Village of Seneca Falls and so on. I feel that the **camera** you are offering could take much better photos than my own and help me to share why I Love NY so much. Thank you @papa-pepper for this opportunity and your generosity.
