Going Through My First Border Patrol Checkpoint
So I went through my first border patrol checkpoint ever yesterday, and decided to film it in order to document the potential harassment, as I’ve seen can often be the case with others. But I was waved right through without being stopped, no questions, no ID check, so that was a relief.

I’ve now passed three such checkpoints in my short time in southern Arizona so far, but this was the only one I had to go through, as they only check those traveling north. They seem to be on every main road about 20-30 miles north of the border. Welcome to the divided police states of America...

Despite being a smooth ordeal, it made me think of how little true freedom we have in America, and also how useless government is. Checkpoints all across the southern US, and yet somehow the drug and sex trafficking continues, almost as if the government has a vested interest in allowing the illicit activities while keeping out the ‘illegal’ migrants...

What it really comes down to is that in the end borders are really nothing but invisible lines drawn on the earth by governments, used to control the people and inhibit the free travel of human beings. Cross that government line without the ‘proper’ papers and documentation and government permission, and you’re a ‘criminal’ subject to harassment, arrest, fines, deportation, etc.

I believe as humans we have the right to travel freely, and that this is a basic inherent right, though not recognized by any government in existence. Instead, armed border patrol agents funded by the American taxpayer are manning dozens, if not hundreds, of what I believe to be unconstitutional checkpoints across the country, and it doesn’t even seem keep the illegal trafficking at bay. And this is what a police state looks like.
