You miss him, don’t you. You thought it was all real, but maybe it wasn’t. Or perhaps, you just weren’t compatible. Maybe it would have been worse if you’ve stayed.

**1. Follow Your Happiness**
What makes you happy? What makes you joyful?

Compile a list of what makes you smile and make a commitment for yourself to do one every weekend, or even better yet, start today.

**2. Be Purposeful**
Live for something bigger than you. Oftentimes we feel empty and directionless when we don’t have something in our lives which has meaning. And the mistake we make is to attach this sense of “meaningless” onto the first person who comes into our lives.

Fill your cup first, find meaning in Life. Volunteer, create something, make time for someone, give back to society, find meaning in your Life. Create the spark in your life which you wish someone else would.

**3. Surround yourself with the right support**
To get over a broken heart, make sure you surround yourself with things and people who can support and lift you up. Be with a girlfriend, someone whom you know won’t judge, someone who would love you all the same, flaws, warts whatever.

Read an inspirational text or book. Talk to someone who has gotten over a breakup and seen the light at the end of the tunnel - someone who is non judgemental and who won’t let you wallow in your pain.

**4. Take a Break**
Allow yourself to take that break when you can’t think straight. Take a breather. Breathe. Do something else that stops you from thinking. Distract yourself.

**5. SLEEP.**
Yes. Sleep!
We might overlook the importance of sleep but research has shown that people who get more sleep are a lot more creative and are better at problem solving.

If creativity is what we are gunning for, and if getting over our pain is what we want, we better make sure we get that 8 hours of sleep.

As Gary Vee said (and this dude is only one of the world's most amazing content creator/marketer/inspirational dude like _ever_), sleep for 7/8/9 hours, it's what you do with the rest that matters.
Hella good perspective for me because I used to be one who feel really bad about sleeping. When I take the advice of really making sure I have more hours of sleep, I find that I have way more energy than usual, and I actually have less down days.

Done deal.

I only ever talk about experiences and share things which benefitted me. And I am only ever interested in talking about things which I know will matter to us all. Love, dating and relationships are part and parcel of Life. We can all say we don't want a special someone, but that's always the partial truth.

Come along with me on my 21 days journey as I document, film and process my real life experiences with love and relationships into content that might interest and hopefully benefit you along the way.
