The iconic Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes can be found at Port Phillip Bay in Victoria, Australia. Eighty eight of these uniquely coloured bathing boxes can be found all in a row, lining the foreshore at Brighton Beach.  They were built well over a century ago and were the Victorian's idea for modest seaside bathing.  Today the bathing boxes remain almost unchanged with their classic Victorian architectural features of timber framing, weatherboards and corrugated roofs.  Each box is individually decorated and it is for this reason they have turned Brighton Beach into a recognisable, iconic beachscape that attracts visitors from all over.

Would you believe... the highest price paid for one of these Brighton Beach Bathing boxes was a whopping $337, 000!!
