 Hello Steemians! This post serves as an update to the LightPayCoin Project! Yesterday on the official LPC Discord channel, CEO Damon Bryant, Ph.D announced that LPC has acquired a business license in the state of Texas. He also announced that LPC is a sponsor of the DOTA 2 E-Sport Tournament at the Future of Blockchain Conference in Dallas this October. These announcements are very significant to the future of the LPC project.  First, the acquisition of the business license. The vast majority of Cryptocurrencies do not hold these official permits and licenses, and therefore cannot legally be adopted. In order for a business to function legally in any given jurisdiction, a license or permit is required. This is a major obstacle that LPC has hurdled, and now can begin officially sponsoring such events as the E Sports Tournament. This also paves the way for official business partnerships with retailers who will adopt the POS devices.  In addition, the acquisition of this license requires registering with the State, which implies that the validity of the LPC project has been verified by the State of Texas.
