**I'm trying to start my day on the right foot.** First of all. A good breakfast.  Sometimes I'm lucky enough to get a good breakfast because of the help of many people who have given me a hand.  There are other days when my breakfast is not very good. Today is one of those days.

>Mi día intento  comenzarlo con el pie  derecho.  Lo primero. Un buen desayuno.  A veces  tengo la suerte de obtener  un buen desayuno por la ayuda  de muchas personas que me han brindado  la mano.  Hay otros días  donde  mi desayuno no es muy bueno. Hoy es uno de esos días.

I still eat what I have. A succulent and delicious cambur (banana). Yeah, it looks like it's half rotten on one side, but no, that's just the color of the shell.  **I ate it all at once and maybe because I was hungry, it was delicious.** 


After I put on my work clothes, I start my daily work.  Since I emigrated from my country, I have had to work at everything. Now I am a janitor in a building. The bosses (all the owners) are exploiters. I will not say the country out of respect for this land that is giving me the chance to survive. But I am being exploited. In my country we would say *"me estan sacando la chicha"* 


>Me toco  desayunar lo que tenia. UN suculento  y delicioso cambur (banana). Si, parece que  esta medio podrido de un lado, pero  no, eso es solo el color  de la  concha.  Me lo comí  de una vez y  quizás por el hambre, estaba  delicioso. 


>Luego de ponerme  mi ropa de trabajo, comienzo mis labores diarias.  Desde que emigre de mi país, he tenido que trabajar de todo. Ahora estoy de  conserje  en un edificio. Los  jefes (todos los propietarios)   son explotadores. No  diré  el país por respeto a  esta tierra que  me  está dando la oportunidad de   sobrevivir. Pero me están explotando. En mi país diríamos “me están sacando  la chicha”

I have to clean all 24 floors of the building, up and down the stairs, the lights are out and I have to be careful not to fall.  If I break my head they won't want to treat me in the clinics of this country. 

>Tengo que   limpiar  los  24 pisos del  edificio, subir y bajar las escaleras, las luces no sirven y tengo que tener cuidado  en no caerme.  Si me parto la cabeza  seguro no querrán atenderme  en las clínicas de este país.

At noon, during my lunch and rest hour. **A lady on the ground floor is very good, she always gives me lunch and the best thing is that she allows me to use her computer so I can play steemmonster.** *Yes!* I spend an hour there distracting myself from everything. Steemmonster and steemit help me get through it all and I also earn a few pennies which, when added up, helps me.


>Al mediodía, durante la hora de almuerzo y descanso. Una  señora de planta baja  se porta  muy bien, siempre  me da el almuerzo y lo mejor es que me permite usar su computadora  para   poder jugar steemmonster. ¡Sí!  Allí paso  una hora  distrayéndome  de  todo. Steemmonster y steemit me ayudan a   sobrellevar todo y además me gano algunos centavos de dólar que  al sumarlos, me son de ayuda.

**Now that my shift is over.  Absolutely exhausted.** I go to bed and watch TV commercials. Seeing so many unnecessary and even stupid gadgets, that they promise you'll go down without doing anything. It causes me to be thankful. 

>Ya  llegado  el fin de mi turno laboral.  Absolutamente agotado. Me acuesto  y me pongo a ver  en televisión los anuncios  de  teletienda. Ver  tantos aparatos tan innecesarios  y hasta estúpidos, que prometen  que rebajaras  sin hacer nada. Me causa gracias.

When I get tired of watching the ads, I just stare at the ceiling and think about my family. **Tomorrow is another day.** 

>Cuando me canso de ver los anuncios, me quedo mirando el techo y a pensar en mi familia. Mañana será otro día.

**This is my entry into the contest. I know I won't win anything. I may not get a single vote. And I understand that.**  People just want to see nice things. Dream lives.  Happiness. Incredible landscapes, boat trips, photos in a tourist paradise, meals in luxury restaurants, successful people showing off their material possessions, etc.  I'm sorry for showing you a different reality. A day to day of millions of people in the world. Not only Venezuelans, but also other nationalities.

>Este es mi entrada al concurso. Sé que  no  ganare nada. Quizás no reciba ni un solo voto. Y lo comprendo.  La gente  solo quiere ver cosas bonitas. Vidas  de ensueño.  Felicidad. Paisajes  increíbles, paseos en lancha, fotos  en un paraíso  turístico, comidas en  restaurantes de lujo, gente exitosa  presumiendo  sus  posesiones materiales, etc.  Lo siento por  mostrarte una  realidad distinta. Un día a día de millones de personas en el mundo. No solo  de Venezolanos, también de otras nacionalidades.
