Alias stared towards the pieces of paper in front of him. He couldn’t think straight. His teacher had told him this would measure his knowledge, but right now, an academic assessment was the last thing on his mind.

What if it all went wrong? Should he have gotten himself checked up? What if the fetus was infected? It all went so quick. Synony told him not to worry, but how could he not. And what’s up with the protection? Didn’t rubbers go through a certain quality check?

It was all too much, the bell rang and everyone was handing in their work. Alias had yet to write a single word. How would he explain this to his parents, they would understand... but still. This would be life's biggest challenge yet.

As he walked out the door, Synony was standing right there. He walked up to her and decided to be courageous. Syn, he said, I’ll stay with you through thick and thin, we will make it together. 

She smiled and gave him a kiss. You really took it quite serious didn’t you? It was just a test.
