The class of 1961 has been wiped completely from everyone's memories. Their parents, their teachers, their friends.......I'm the only one that remembers them. How did this happen, you ask? I'll tell you the story but you won't believe me. No one believes me. https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2017/10/17/16/10/fantasy-2861107_960_720.jpg _Source: Pixabay.com_ I still remember the year we graduated. Those years had been the best of my life. We were a very close class, being that there were only five of us in total, and we were quite adventurous. A strange flu had made more than half of our original class sick. Most of the class spent several months in the hospital and ended up having to repeat the grade. Five of us were lucky though. We had the smallest graduating class in this school's entire history. Then again, I guess luck is a subjective term. Our tiny class loved going on field trips. We went on more field trips, as a matter of fact, than any other class before us. Museums, bookstores, libraries, construction sites.... we couldn't get enough of the real world. So when it came time for us to take our senior vacation we all decided to go somewhere special. **Egypt.** <hr> Jim was class president. Like most of us, he was absolutely addicted to adventure. He was a member of an exclusive site online called _Astralwhispers.net_ This site was dedicated to exploring various aspects of the metaphysical plane. Certain messages on that site indicated that the metaphysical plane was an actual physical place. Could we connect to the spiritual realm? Jim wanted to find out..... and so did the rest of us. You see, we were risk takers and life livers. We didn't want _any_ aspect of life to pass us by. So how does one get on this metaphysical plane and take off? Our best clue was in a book called _The Inebriated Whirlwind._ https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2017/06/04/16/33/pyramids-2371501_960_720.jpg _Source: Pixabay.com_ Written by a man named Charles Mugsley, _The Inebriated Whirlwind_ was all about one man's travels to the farthest reaches of the globe and the various different strange events that he had witnessed. Charles claimed that the spiritual realm was a gateway that could take you anywhere. A frozen lake covered in a fine stream of white mist. All you had to do was unlock the door, and turn the handle. Charles was currently living in Cairo. Jim contacted him through _Astralwhispers.net._ He was more than happy to talk to some true believers. He invited us to visit him, saying rather matter of factly that he would show us something we wouldn't soon forget. We arrived in Cairo late in the afternoon. I don't know how I managed to sit in one spot for 16 hours straight. I was really excited to get off that plane. It was hot here. I never knew that the Sun had a heartbeat until I came to Cairo. You could feel each ray like a flaming scorpion's pincer burning fiercely against your red scorching skin. Charles had rented us a jeep ahead of time and it was waiting for us at the airport. He instructed the driver to take us straight to his rather humble house, which was near the white desert. I tucked my copy of _The Inebriated Whirlwind_ in my little brown bag and hopped in the back of the jeep. Something mind boggling was about to happen to me that I wouldn't soon forget. Everyone else would though. Everyone else would forget everything. _If you like this story please upvote and resteem!_ _Look forward to Part 2_ https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4296/35316190583_da5b8f4ee1_o.gif
