When there's only a few servers on the floor things have to go just right.
Today I got to work to find out that we were short staffed.

That is not a good thing during the winter.

Winter time is often very busy and even though it is a Monday we definitely need a good amount of staff in the restaurant at all times.

It turned out that we only had 4 servers show up for work today.

This created quite a hardship because you definitely don't want to make people wait.

When you go out to lunch you don't want to wait. You want to hurry up and eat because you have to get back to where you are going.

Fortunately we got lucky because four servers was exactly the right amount needed.

It's kind of funny because it seemed like we got a new guest every 15 to 20 minutes after getting our initial rush.

That was the perfect amount and everyone did well today even though there were only four of us and no one was particularly stressed out.

It could have been really bad.

I guess you could say everything went exactly the way it needed to.

When there's only a few servers on the floor things have to go just right.
