THORNS: When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker. >The maximum amount of mana allowed in the battle is 99 and the splinter options are Fire, Earth, and Death. ___ **THE GAME PLAN** The plan is to place a monster card with high armor in the first and second positions, regardless of whether it is melee, range, or magic, with a preference for those with `"Void Armor"` to make sure magic attacks hit the monster's armor before its health. Then, place range or magic monsters with the ability to attack different targets (such as ["Opportunity"](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=31) or ["Scattershot"](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=93) to spread the damage across the opponent's deck. ``` Note: Be sure to protect the backline monsters with a high health or with abilities like Backfire, Blind, Dodge, Retaliate, etc. ``` ___ **THE SQUAD** **Summoner:** I have chosen to use the "Death Splinter" and specifically the `"Thaddius Brood"`, as it offers debuffs to the opponent's deck, reducing their health and magic attack by 1. This aligns well with the battle's ruleset and limited splinter options of Fire, Earth, and Death. ___ **1<sup>st</sup> POSITION:** In this ruleset, the monster card `"Legionnaire Alvar"` has been designated as a tank due to its high armor, as well as its ability to defend against melee, range, and magic attacks while also attacking. To make the most of this monster card, take advantage of its abilities, considering it is a legendary card. ___ **2<sup>nd</sup> POSITION:** `"Djinn Muirat"` is being used as a secondary tank, as it has similar abilities to Legionnaire Alvar, but also has the added capability of inflicting magic damage to monsters. Its abilities like [Giant Killer](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=92) and [Magic Reflect](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=16) makes it a great choice against high mana monsters and magic type monsters. ___ **3<sup>rd</sup> POSITION:** `"Lira The dark"` is a suitable choice for this battle ruleset because of its opportunity ability which allows it to inflict damage to the enemy monster with the lowest health. Additionally, its high speed and [Inspire](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=11) ability, which increases the speed of other monsters, makes it effective in dismantling the opponent's deck. ___ **4<sup>th</sup> POSITION:** `"Dhampir Stalker"` is a powerful card with 4 ranged damage and [True Strike](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=56) ability which ensures it never misses an attack, making it effective in taking down the opponent's tank. However, it should be protected from sneak and opportunity monsters to fully utilize its potential in battle. ___ **5<sup>th</sup> POSITION:** The `"Gem Meteor"` has the [Scattershot](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=93) ability which allows it to attack any position, making it useful in battle due to its ability to distribute damage across multiple positions rather than just focusing on the first position. Combining it with an opportunity ability can be particularly effective in this particular battle ruleset. ___ **6<sup>th</sup> POSITION:** The `"Insidious Warlock"` is a monster with a decent health of 6 and the [Blind](https://www.splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=65) ability, which makes it useful in protecting other monsters from backline damage by increasing the chances that the opponent's monsters will miss. ___  |Did The Strategy Worked?|What Would I Try Next Time?| |-|-| |The strategy was successful, though luck also played a role. To improve your chances in future battles, it's important to familiarize yourself with the battle rules and the abilities of each monster and summoner in order to create effective strategies. Watching gameplay footage of average players can also be helpful. Remember, practice makes perfect. |There are many options to explore in the battle arena, and I am particularly interested in trying out the "Runi" monster. Unfortunately, I currently do not have the means to acquire it, but perhaps someone will be kind enough to delegate it to me.| ___ |Do I Like "Legionnaire Alvar"| |-| |Yes, the `Legionnaire Alvar` is a legendary card with impressive stats and abilities, making it a valuable asset in battle.
