Perspective in life is all about how we choose to see a situation. You have the capability to change your life with the right perspective. Changing your perspective is like taking off the dark glasses and seeing things in a new light. Let's look at this story together.

Jide and Sandra lived in one of the slums in the crowded City of Lagos, where houses are built in clusters like traffic and people live facing each other with little or no ventilation. Everyday Sandra would look out of her window where laundry ropes were raised for people to hang their clothes and she would observe neighbours hanging out their laundry.

But time and again she kept noticing this particular neighbour who proudly hung out dingy whites that were all yellow and dirty in what was to be a public space where people passed by and sometimes glanced at the clothes on the line. She could not understand why this lady could be so careless and unconcern about the condition of her whites and not also considering what others would think about them.

Then one day She peered through the window and observed that finally...ahah...the lady got it right. The whites were Lily bright and sparkling like what was to be used to advertise a detergent company on television... So she ran and told her husband, holding him by the hand to the window and pointing to the space where the once dirty whites used to hang but which had now been transformed.

With a shocking expression on his face, the husband turned and said to her,
"No my dear, I actually cleaned the windows you were suppose to clean three months now."

Our perspectives can be like that of Sandra, the problem wasn't with her neighbour or the whites, but from her perspective, cos was viewing through the dirty window that needed a cleaning. You may see something and think of it differently until you get that change in perspective.

The wrong perspective will have you complain and remain in that situation. Life is what you make it. Having the right perspective will propel you to achieve your goals, and make the impossible possible.

*Ciao, until next time!*
