Human nature is ideal for God's purposes - so much so that He Himself assumed our nature. "The verb became flesh."

What a revelation with respect to human potential! The idea that human creatures are a kind of temporary arrangement and that God intends to do something better later on is not what the Scriptures say I believe. The human race is essential within God's plan for his name to be glorified.

God the son became one of us. He did not take the form of an angel (Hebrews 1: 5). Neither descended to earth turned into a wonderful celestial power. Not in a Cherub of the throne. According to the Scriptures, the Cherubim are great beings who "surpass in strength". However, they were not designed to breathe the evil atmosphere of this planet.

The Son of God humbled himself by becoming a man, even to the point of having suffered pain and death. It is from that position of weakness, tied to the wood, helpless, that He is victorious. God chose mortals to perform immortal labors. We should not think that we are worthless since God is interested in "people who are nothing".

Was the Sword of Gideon the Sword of the Lord?

A phrase in the book of Judges 7: 14-20 declares this truth. This phrase was Gideon's war cry. "... By the sword of Jehovah and Gideon"! Maybe Gideon laughed at the phrase he had uttered. How was it that his sword was also the sword of Jehovah? What fun! God works very interesting miracles since Our sword is also the sword of God. We use the same sword.

Gideon's sword was the sword of God; his limited army, the battalion of God. That made Gideon invincible!

I discovered something in those famous verses of Matthew 19:26 and Mark 10:27. "... because all things are possible for God." This is possible with us. The text says to God not to God. All things are possible when we work with Him and carry out his desire.

He does not do anything in this world without us. It is a mutual effort. We do what is within our reach and God does what is within his reach. Why? Surely the Almighty does not need us. No, he certainly does not need us. He can do everything he wants without us.

However, He wants to use us. It is a wonderful fact that God wants to share with us the pleasure he feels when he performs his works and his miracles. "They will lay their hands on the sick and they will heal." Even a fool can put his hands on a person but it is God who does the miracle. We simply share his rejoicing.

Gideon had human weaknesses that were very evident, but that did not disqualify him. On the contrary, God made his weaknesses bigger and more apparent. When the angel of the Lord greeted Gideon, he said to him, "The Lord is with you, a valiant and courageous man." In my opinion, Gideon's reply sounds as if Gideon himself had been surprised by the way the angel had described him.

The words "brave and courageous man" must have sounded somewhat ironic. Gideon was not doing anything to indicate his courage. On the contrary, he was hiding from the Midianites. Gideon's response was; "... if Jehovah is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all his wonders ...? "

Gideon feared that the invading forces would divest and kill Israel, so God chose him to free Israel from fear. The methods and actions that God ordered as military strategies seemed to be very impractical, it seemed as if God was calling a catastrophe. However, in them there was Divine wisdom.

Gideon's sword was the sword of God; his limited army, the battalion of God. That made Gideon invincible! In the same way that Samson used a jaw bone in a battle, so the Lord used Gideon. He eliminated the plague of the Midianites from the earth as if they had been a wasp honeycomb.

Human beings with a Miraculous God!

God does not seem to bother us very much who we are or what we are. What He wants are people who are willing. As the prophet Isaiah says in Isaiah 40:22, for God "the inhabitants of the earth are like locusts."

What is the difference between one lobster and another? God is not looking for big locusts as if they could do mighty feats. Your plan is for the small and common ones. "Do not fear my little ones, it is your Father's desire to give them the Kingdom." The only extraordinary thing about the great servants of God is that God has used them all. God does not make us great first to use us when we become giants.

The only giant of the Scriptures became in a very short time a dead giant. The idea behind this concept is that we are human beings with a miraculous God. In this way, God receives all the glory. The original name of the Apostle Paul was Saul (Saul) in honor of the tallest king in Israel. However, when Paul was converted, God changed his name to Paul who is nothing other than the diminutive of Saul (Saul).

For some reason, we can not understand this concept. We want to transform from ordinary people into very spiritual and special people so that God uses us and so we can say that God used us because we are special. However, that is precisely what God does not want to happen.

In any case, it takes too much time to become spiritual giants. Growth takes place when we work for God. How can we be sanctified if we do not worry about the world that is lost?
