Social Fixer

URGENT NOTICE! Please Share! The Chrome extension version of Social Fixer has apparently been hacked or somehow attacked. If you are using Chrome and Social Fixer asks to allow new permissions, DO NOT ACCEPT. It will remain disabled.

UPDATE 1: It looks like the injected code is not doing anything malicious now. I see no indication that accounts have been hacked or user data stolen. Chrome users should leave Social Fixer disabled while I continue to resolve this with Google.

UPDATE 2: I have discovered that this attack was done from Russia through my account. I have since re-secured my account, but the hackers have transferred ownership of the extension to them and I cannot recover it until Google handles my (multiple) urgent support requests. Still actively working on this.

The version in the Chrome store shows 20.1.1, which I did not release. The current version is 20.1.0. I suspect this fake version is malware or will steal your data and/or Facebook account. DO NOT INSTALL IT!

I am trying to get in contact with Google to resolve this. I have no idea how this happened or how to resolve it at the moment. The "real" version (my version) of Social Fixer in the Chrome store now shows 0 users, and the fake version has stolen all my information and user reviews.

I will post a followup when I have more information. If anyone has information about this kind of thing, let me know. Thank you, and I'm sorry for the confusion and trouble.
