Methods of the spider to capture its prey
The spider has many different methods for capturing its prey. The most common for most species has to do with the creation of spider webs. They are silky and sticky, so anything that gets into them will be trapped there. Sometimes they chase their prey in these fabrics to be cornered. The prey can often be much faster than the spider. However, the feet quickly become entangled in the sticky mass of the fabric. This is a great advantage for the spider, then it will bite the prey, injecting the poison that will immobilize it and end up killing it.

Spiders do not stick to their own networks because of the oil in their limbs. They will build networks in different directions, which will trap both those who crawl and those who fly. Spiders are able to complete their tasks depending on the vibrations they feel in the body. They do not have great vision, but they are able to use their senses to create spider webs.

Many people do not realize that the spider can have more than one fabric. In fact, when they enter a place with several spider webs, they immediately think that they have a great plague of spiders. However, they are actually very intelligent creatures, they are capable of having multiple networks, which can increase their chances of success to eat.

However, not all spiders use this method to be able to hunt their prey. The wolf spider is a very fast species to move around. It is able to successfully pursue its prey and capture it. There is also the Spider Catch Door that has a very original tactic. Create a network, but it will be in a hole in the ground. When the prey falls into this trap it will not be able to come out again. This method is effective and they are able to capture a large amount of food. The Spider of the Grass creates a kind of funnel with silk ribbon along the blades of grass. The prey can enter the funnel, but then it can not go back.

The Garden Spider is able to leave a line of traps hanging around. When it feels vibrations it will run and capture the prey. This is a concept very similar to how humans use the line to know when a fish is on the tip of the hook.

Each type of spider can have several ways of capturing its prey successfully. This allows them to survive in their own habitat. A lot of changes have happened that have made it easier for spiders to continue being successful. For example, some spiders shrink their flexible nets, and release them on their prey when they feel that it is approaching.

All this is very interesting and allows investigations to turn unexpectedly. Even if you are not a fan of spiders because of their appearance, you will be surprised by the various methods they use to capture prey. It is this diversity that causes tens of thousands of different species to be identified.
