The best way to honor those who have departed is to live the good values and message they have left us, so I am very happy to share the best experience I have had this week.

Every August 25, in the parish where I serve, we remember the birth of a Polish saint, Faustina Kowalska, who stood out in her life for carrying the message of the practice of the works of mercy. For this reason, on Thursday 26th with the support of the social aid group "El Misericordiosito" we were able to assist 20 low-income families with 20 combos of various foods.

The activity was focused on those families with children, which gives a double value to the work, since it is not only about giving a hand to those who are in need but also to those beings who, although they are the future, deserve our special care in the present.

Whenever I organize and participate in this type of activities I like to look behind the curtain, since all this is very beautiful but it would not have been possible without those people who gave their valuable collaboration.

First of all, those who had this initiative and those who serve as benefactors of the work, this teaches us the importance of being proactive, not waiting for others to do but to take the first step, a detail that generates important changes around us.

Then, we cannot forget those who did, so to speak, the field work, that is to say, visited the families, took the census, made the selection, etc. This also testifies to another detail that marks the weight and quality of our person, selfless service.
