I think it would be very selfish of me if I kept my walks and healing walks to myself, so this time I was accompanied by my mom, who is going through the same mourning as me and perhaps even more painful, because it was her husband who departed from this world. This Wednesday began as an errand at the mayor's office to continue the paperwork left by the death of the owner of the house, but it has ended up as one of the most pleasant walks I have had all year.

When we left the town hall I saw the beautiful garden and I told my mom that it would be a good idea to walk to the house, since on the way we could see many flowers and vegetation and even though it was a very hot day there was a lot of breeze. The most important thing was my intention to show her a good time, I gave her an ice cream and we decided to take the longest and greenest route to our home.

As I imagined, we came across many flowers of different colors, highlighting the red, fuchsia, yellow and white that contrasted with the rural landscape of the nearby buildings and houses. This area is in my home state of Aragua, it is called Turmero and we have lived very close to the center for 28 years. It was so pleasant to remember anecdotes of our beginnings, since my mom did not even remember that we arrived at our house in 1995, besides it was inevitable to talk about my dad, who until now is still the owner of our home until we finish making these arrangements.

I don't know if you can see that butterfly in the picture above. I spent about ten minutes trying to take the best picture, but I don't have the best camera. I usually don't have the best patience either hahaha, but this time the walk had me relaxed. It was very nice for me to discover in our conversation that my mom has also decided to take walks to clear her head or to think things through, I knew that this could not be just a need of mine. When there is so much pain in the soul the best thing to do is to go for a walk for a while to calm the mind...

Obviously the closer we got to our house the less wonders we saw on the way, but despite being ecstatic with the flowers and the breeze that caressed us I think the best result was to arrive home with a smile from ear to ear, although at the beginning of Wednesday we only had in mind that we would spend a strong day in the government offices. There is nothing better than wanting to change the environment around us with a good attitude, and these days being able to put a smile on my mom's face has become my greatest treasure...
