Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a rule set using a specific card and on [this week's post](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/battle-mage-secrets-weekly-challenge-simkts) it is a battle with the Stampede rule set. I also encourage [Splinterlands](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/what-is-splinterlands) players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process. 

## Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is [Wands Out](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-silenced-summoners-ruleset), FabFour and [Stampede](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-stampede-ruleset). This means that summoners have no effects and only magic monsters can be used. There is also 45 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, water, death, or dragon [splinter](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splinter).

The summoner I chose to use this time is Eternan Brune for the -2 armor. As we can't use magic monsters, removing the armor will let me kill off monsters faster.

I plan to use Antoid Platoon as my tank for the [shield](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-shield-ability) to reduce damage. My 2nd monster is Chimney Wallstop with [reach](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-reach-ability) and [bloodlust](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bloodlust-ability) as a backup tank and damage dealer. After that is Uraeus for the [sneak](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-sneak-ability) damage and Supply Runner for some extra ranged damage. This was a brawl fight so I was limited with my options so I went with this lineup.

### Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match is in my opponent's favor. My opponent has quite a few fast [opportunity](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-opportunity-ability) monsters and my speed will be decreased by my opponent's summoner. I don't think my chances are that high unless my opponent misses a lot of attacks.

### Round 2

My lineup isn't looking so great because I wasn't able to even take out one monster. The [stun](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-stun-ability) monster in the back messed up my chance to start stacking some bloodlust on Chimney. 

### Round 3

My Chimney was stunned and I wasn't able to deal any damage at all. My opponent has stacked quite a few bloodlusts so I don't see any chances of me winning this match.

I lost later that round as I expected.

## Conclusion

The battle did not go as I expected. I got completely destroyed by my opponent and his lineup. I was at a level disadvantage but I think that I would have lost regardless if we had the same level cards. The speed advantage from my opponent let him destroy me. I couldn't do much as those opportunity monsters wiped out my backline. In addition, I was unlucky against that stun monster and I couldn't use my tank multiple times. I think the match could have been closer if it wasn't for that because I think a Chimney with bloodlust stacks would be quite deadly. I still think that I would have lost but at least the gap wouldn't be as large.
