Hello Steemit friends. My name is Josh, I am 19 years old and I want to start collecting silver. I have always intrigued by coins and metals, not necessarily collecting  but when I received change I always held on to the cool looking ones as long as I could. I want to start collecting because I think coins and bars are really neat and also a good long term investment. So my question for you silver stacking veterans or even fellow newbies, what was your first piece you bought (or was given) to start your collection.  I was looking into buy just an average 1oz silver bar to start it off.

I have a small budget cause I am going to University this fall but I thought I'd buy some now cause the price is down somewhat, and its better to start a collection early.

So to repeat my question, what was your first silver piece of your collection(a picture would be cool too) and also I am looking for any tips you can give to newbies like myself. Thanks so much in advanced ^_^
