I've been looking into this topic for years & there is so much disinformation out there about it, it's hard to know what to believe. What we do know is that contrails are water vapour which forms cloud, as does the vapour released from power stations & water vapour is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. This was only really acknowledged this year by the World Meteorological Organisation when they named a new cloud type, <a href="https://cloudatlas.wmo.int/homogenitus.html">"Homogenitus"</a>.

Thanks for raising this subject. I think it is one of the biggest problems facing humanity yet has very little exposure thanks to the deliberate normalisation of trails criss crossing the skies on TV & in video games (check out the skies in GTA 5 for example) & the way people who talk about it are dismissed as 'conspiracy theorists'. I'm just old enough to remember when the skies were deep blue & clear rather than milky white & full or a dirty haze. 

My children however think it's completely normal.
