My very first post on the HIVE blockchain was Feb 22, 2021 and although I'm officially a HIVER for two years this week, I only got serious about this amazing blockchain six months into it.

For six months from August right up to February, I don't remember even taking a peek. I signed up one time before and lost my keys, etc. Then I signed up again and saved everything, but never really used it.

Where the turning point happened was after being a CTP member for many years even when I was not into online marketing anymore is when I decided to give the marketing online another try and along the way upgrading my CTP membership.

With that upgrade, I delved more into the training and the other funnels, which eventually brought me onto giving HIVE a serious look.

With the CTP Swarm's help I was given some resource credits and it was off to the races, well a race of turtles.

Not having much clarity on some of the concepts, but taking the training at it's core of showing up daily, creating content and engaging that it would eventually help me build on HIVE.

The thing is, that things don't happen overnight and so avoiding the mistakes that are prevalent in the traditional online marketing arena those can still happen.

One of those dreaded mistakes is just not giving an opportunity a solid chance. I know many of us can speak to some of the bullshit that happens in that environment, but there are solid programs that if you dedicate yourself to it and put in the work, you will earn a buck or two.

When I took my health and fitness seriously and I started putting in the work, it took a while before I saw a dramatic difference.

When you are on a weight loss journey, I heard it said, that it takes 4 weeks for you to see the difference, 8 weeks for those close to you to see the difference and 12 weeks for the whole world to see the difference.

and it doesn't end there.

It's a life changing thing; so the hard work continues way past the 12 weeks and you don't ever let up unless you run into some obstacles physically and even then you work hard to go back to it, because it's who you are. Not only what you do.

That same approach is what I came back to online marketing with and more so to HIVE.

I'm sitting at about 3400 HIVE Power, about 1500 LEO Power, 800 plus in HBD, maintain a Top Ten ranking in Listnerds/CTP and Listnerds and a lot of it was earned through my efforts outside of some investments I made along the way. I essentially used some of online marketing earnings to buy CTP, HIVE and some other tokens.

Some of the turning points and where things started picking up steam for me was:

1. The CTP team of course, without @jongolson and the team I would have never come onto HIVE.

2. Meeting Erik @flaxz.alive whose Alive platforms allowed me to get consistent with posting daily and even uploaded my first video for the **I Am Alive Challenge** on @threespeak

3. Using and posting my @actifit results making it possible to combine the two things I'm a big fan of. Taking what I do under the orange lights and then posting about it through **ActiFit** on HIVE. For me that is priceless. My HIIT workouts are a huge part of me, so this was impactful for me and it allowed fellow HIVERS to read what I do most of my week to stay fit.

4. The addition of **ListNerds** onto the blockchain, which increased my engagement ten fold and truly when I saw the increase to many aspects we strive for to grow on HIVE.

5. **LEOThreads** on @leofinance is probably the next major step for everyone as a whole, but I can truly say that in a very short time it has done what ListNerds has done for me.

One of the most humbling experiences that I've had on HIVE is being invited as a guest on "***The Cryptomaniacs***" **podcast** and that is epic for me, because I never miss an episode of any of their live shows Tuesdays or Fridays except for one that I had to listen to the replay.

The second appearance was this week coincidentally: [The CryptoManiacs Podcast - Episode 143 w/ Jimmy Adames](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@jongolson/reglrehc)

To be invited to something you are a fan of, because of my passion for all HIVE offers and those that I use with fervor is truly an honor.

It's a completely different world when you ask first, what can I do to help this community and blockchain to move forward? than asking first, what will it do for me?

I am fully confident that in the long-term those who have stuck it out and those who will stick it out will get rewarded for their efforts.
