I cannot even wrap my head around the idea of being eternal and without origin- as a jiva, that is. Eternity is not so baffling to me, with relation to Krishna. Perhaps my bafflement comes from a Christian upbringing- being accustomed to an origin story and a fall story...finding it very hard to escape that paradigm. The question of some souls being nitya siddha and others being nitya badha...the how and why of it....continues to baffle. Better to eat something and get my blood sugar up than wrestle with concepts of origin versus originlessness and eternity...

My reply:
The Christian teachings as they are now presented propose that the soul is created when the body is created. Again. How can something that has a beginning, is created, "become" eternal? Eternally liberated and eternally conditioned. There is no time in the spiritual world. The math there is "funky" too. 1 + 1 = 1 and 1 - 1 = 1
