Every newbie's goals on Hive
<div class="text-justify">
Hive is addictive! This often comes after one is grounded on the blockchain; to some of us, it is a place to earn, and to a few, a place to express or learn. Coming onboard Hive itself is not the challenge; staying afloat is. Over time, if your consistency, engagement, and posts are not to be reckoned with, you are likely going to be lost in the shadows soon enough.

Every newbie needs to have the correct orientation that Hive is a platform to learn and not just earn. Perhaps learning is the key to unlocking the earnings on Hive. This content would not be the key to unlocking the potential of Hive, but to an extent, it would guide a newbie to a soft landing.
Every newbie needs to keep their passwords safe enough. Recovery is almost impossible, and what is the benefit of a robust Hive account when the keys are lost? Keeping your password safe and protected from hackers and thieves will do everyone a great deal.

The tips that I would recommend to every newbie are as follows:.

A) Lean on the shoulders of your onboarder or mentors on Hive. One of the challenges onboarders face is taking their doenlines through the processes of Hive. Where there is no law, there will be no offenses. Rules and guidelines have been put in place for everyone on Hive, and abiding by them keeps the blockchain stable. Newbies may not be patient enough to go through all these rules, but it would be wise to lean on and learn from their onboarders for at least a month so as to grasp the dos and don'ts of the chain. The block chain may not care if you're doing it right, but there could be serious consequences when you do things wrongly. During this process, the newbie is encouraged to show signs of learning by applying themselves to observing others. A newbie can learn the tags from another person's posts or even go through posts on communities to know what types of posts are allowed in such communities. I wish I could mention the dos and don'ts here, but I will not; they are better learned from posts for that or from onboarders.

B) Learn to earn: I will not excuse myself as I have guilt in this aspect as well. Most newbies have the impression that Hive is a platform to make massive wealth, especially when the wallets of other Hivians are inspected. Such wallets can be motivational, but that's not the real deal! Hive appreciates genuine content, meaningful engagements, and consistency, in addition to abiding by set rules. Unfortunately, we dish out quality posts and expect people to flood the posts with upvotes and comments when we rarely do that. I believe the rule of commenting on at least two other people's posts was made to encourage such engagement. Build a community of family and friends on Hive. Friends on Hive are like your real-time friends off the chain. There's a common saying that your network is your net worth. I am not the perfect friend on Hive, but I am not the worst, as I am certain I have made good relationships with a good number of Hivians, and this may have come either through quality content or meaningful engagement. Thank you once again to all my friends on Hive. I am where I am today because you all supported me.

C) Make realistic goals and work towards achieving them. A common mistake newbies make is to post several contents in a bid to earn more, which oftentimes places them on yellow or red cards on Hive. Hive will not make anyone rich overnight! It is good to desire great success, but the process should not be undermined. Going through the process of attaining excellence or financial independence through the blockchain will likely sustain you when you have gotten to a reasonable peak. Many people would likely misuse wealth and power when they are obtained without much effort, and this is where it is advised that your goals are realistic and measurable.

Perhaps there are many more to enlighten the newbie, but these few should be a gentle guide to successful goals.

Thank you for reading. I would love to have your comments and contributions.
