Introduction Post

Hi, my name is Jerome.  I’m a fledgling writer, video game designer, inventor and cryptocurrency enthusiast.   

I’ve landed on Steemit to start blogging about some of the things that I care about such as decentralised governance solutions, Giving Culture, general cryptocurrency fundamentals research, and writing fiction.

Eventually my goal is to put the novel that I’m working on—on the Steem blockchain—to share with the greater community. 

I’m planning to start with the blogging of decentralised governance, Giving Culture and cryptocurrency research as a result of my intention to give, share and connect.   I admire the idea of Steemit, because I can share freely without worrying about advertisements.  If my articles are considered valuable, I’ll see it reflected in my Steem account and amongst the comments.  The nature of the blockchain almost makes this the digital equivalent of writing on stone (as long as the Steemit nodes are maintained), which is also pretty cool.

And part of my intention is to start writing more frequently, to improve my writing skills and ability to connect meaningfully with others.  So here’s me, and this post represents my initial start in this endeavour.  

It's a pleasure to meet all of you, and I look forward to getting to know some of you!
