<div class=text-justify> I guess this DIY stuff runs in the family. It’s in my blood so to speak... You see I was selling some parts off of my parts truck to a guy close to where my parents live. Well I can’t be that close to them and not stop in and say, “*Hi*” I mean what kind of A-hole Son would do something like that?... Not this one. Lol. Well My Dad had mentioned he got some blocks delivered to build a retaining wall on the side of the house. He had been planing on doing this for a long time. Little did I know I was about to let my DIY addiction take over. All it took was talking about how to install some steps in the wall and we started doing it. So much for a quick stop at my parents house... <center></center> I am telling you this Retired 70 year old with a deformed leg from having polio as a kid and having been diagnosed leukemia 7 years ago... just don’t stop!!! These blocks are about 30-40lbs a piece and he had started building this wall himself. DANG!!! I think he has more motivation than me. Lol. He asked for my advise on how to add a set of stairs in so my Mom could get up to the garden. I used to work for a landscape company and built quite a few retaining walls in my day. So from this little wall it will be a gradual slope along the fence up to the garden. I imagine behind the retaining wall something will be growing. Mom has a green thumb and Dad has a DIY addiction. That is a recipe for disaster.... When I showed up he had the wall built to about where the arrow is. <center></center> Then after a little chit chat I just couldn’t help myself. <center>*Let’s Do Work Dad!!*”</center> Well, from what was suppose to be a little thinking/design session, turned into getting a little sweaty, dirty and some pizza getting delivered. We designed the wall to accommodate the stairs and we stacked a pallet and a half of blocks in just a few hours. Ya so much for a quick trip.... <center></center> Well now you people see where I get my DIY addiction from... my 70 year old, crippled by polio, Retired, leukemia diagnosed.... Dad...
