I got curious about the origin of all these memes constantly regurgitated on trade forums and everywhere else that's related to trading crypto. So here are they.
1. HODL
I've seen this meme repeated so many times, you say it when the market is crashing and instead of selling over fear it will keep crashing you hold your coins, or HODL your coins. The meme started with [a post on bitcointalk](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0) of a guy who owned bitcoin and was watching, while drunk, btc crashing. ... and also his girlfriend going to a lesbian club. The crash he refers too is the one on the red circle below. .png) At the time the price was about 500USD, so if he held until today he would 5x his money. A lot of memes were made that day.
2. Bad holder
This is a term to define people that who buy a stock or coin that keeps decreasing in value but the person refuses to sell. They are left with a huge bag that no body wants to buy and so it becomes worthless, losing all of their investment. Often it's used to make fun these people. For example when Digibyte was crashing I made fun of a lot of bag holders, even made this:
3. Lambo
Sometimes you see people saying they want their lambo, lambo is a shortcut to lamborghini. It comes from "this is my garage guy" On the video he posed with his lamborghini on the back.
